Breed: American Chinchilla
Description: The American was at one time called the heavyweight chinchilla and is a result of selecting the largest of the standard chins and aiming for a larger, more meaty type of rabbit. The length is medium, but the hips are rounded and full. The back of the American chin has a slight and gradual arch starting at the nape of the neck and finishing at the rump.
There are two types of American chinchilla, the standard type, which is very much like the English version, and the American chinchilla, which is slightly larger.
